- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships with key decision makers such as architects, quantity surveyors, facilities managers, asset managers, construction managers, property managers, property developers etc.
- Specify key products and categories with architects and other key stakeholders in the construction field.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Analyse the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
- Proven work experience as a Sales Executive/Specifying agent or consultant.
- Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships.
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Existing network in construction/waterproofing/roofing/decorative painting/facilities management.
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to c-suite executives. Aligning solutions to their specific requirements.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Matric or equivalent certificate.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar field - previous experience with paint application and/or waterproofing (sales & application) will be advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates with existing networks in, or experience with construction companies, facilities management, building management bodies and property developers.
- Computer literate – proficient in MS Office. Experience with other systems/programs is advantageous.
- Valid Driver’s License.
