- Manage and deliver the electrical work packages in multiple concurrent projects, either in the UK or internationally
- Identify the scope, design and management objectives and deliver project documentation, ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities
- Plan, organise, manage and where appropriate create work packages to include technical specifications, reports, calculations and drawings/models appropriate to the relevant level of detail
- Experience in development concepts and designs of the following in compliance with current wiring regulations and BS/EN standards.
- Assist the project manager in the preparation / review of project costs, risk assessments and progress monitoring
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring continuous technical professional development; Review contractor pre-qualifications and prepared tender evaluation summaries for tender reviews.
- Evaluate proposals and recommendations to the client regarding vendor selection
- Represent RHDHV in liaising with clients to achieve client satisfaction, attending factory acceptance tests, site testing and undertaking commissioning supervision activities
- Communicate status of projects to internal directors and external stakeholders (clients) on an ad-hoc and formal basis
- Comply with company’s standards, procedures and Quality Management System.
- Share knowledge and expertise, support and develop junior engineers
- Lead tenders and bids and support Business Development by developing own client network
- Lead a team of engineers and provide mentorship
- You have excellent communication skills

- You are pro-active in implementation of data driven design
- You have a BEng (Hons) or MEng in Building Services / Electrical Engineering.
- You have at least 10 - 15 years relevant working experience in electrical design.
- You have good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction of mission critical facilities.
- You have a good understanding of the sector specific daily (operational) business of our clients.
- You are entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem solving attitude.
- You have the ability to perform best in a multidisciplinary team often with international colleagues;
- You have good project management skills
- You have knowledge and practical experience of specialist electrical design and modelling software including NBS Create
The role will be based in Birmingham. As our clients are international, flexibility towards global travel is expected. The applicant should be in possession of a full UK driver’s license.
