This will be in line with the wider business strategy of trying to implement a World Class Manufacturing organisation. There will be elements of this position which will require a hands-on approach to lead by example in driving the correct behaviours, concepts, and mannerisms.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • To assist the delivery of the site master schedule
  • To support the implementation of the 1FO strategy
  • To be able to lead, coach and train colleagues throughout the organisation on LEAN manufacturing concepts
  • To be a visible support mechanism during project launches and project trials focusing on standardising the approach to execution and feedback
  • To be able to manage multiple projects focusing on OTIF delivery of aims/objectives
  • To be able to communicate ideas and opinions to wider members of the organisation and cater for all learning and development needs
  • Manage stakeholder expectations alongside agreed objectives and actions, from colleagues within all different levels of the organisation
  • Showcase best practice governance and disciplines to reinforce learning and uphold a defined standard across site
  • Any other reasonable request
COMPETENCIESBusiness Related Competencies
  • Fast moving consumer able goods market (FMCG), preferably gained in the food industry within a team orientated culture.
  • Working knowledge of an operational environment and packing lines.
  • Working knowledge of BRC and General Supermarket Audit procedures and guidelines.
  • Awareness of latest production initiates and continuous improvement concepts, in line with World Class Manufacturing best practice.
  • Application of Health and Safety best practice and current legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrate training and coaching skills, and ability to construct standard operating procedures.
General CompetenciesFunctional skills and knowledge required to perform the job effectively.
  • Demonstrate a level of numeracy and literacy capability in line with business requirements
  • A basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing including SMED, Kaizen, SIC, Six Sigma, Root cause analysis (Ideally accredited within Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher or willingness to attain this)
  • Awareness and appreciation of Finlay Beverages processes
  • Basic understanding ERP application
  • IT skills: All Microsoft packages
