- Knowledge and experience with Medicaid or other healthcare systems.
- Knowledge of practical social services, public health, or managed care.
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
- Skilled in reviewing and analyzing reports related to health care, including financial and health services.
- Ability to develop and implement various program monitoring methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to research, collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop reports, presentations, alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to formulate policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
- Ability to travel with or without accommodations.
- A minimum of two years experience reviewing, monitoring, or auditing health care or social service programs for quality compliance.
- Minimum of four years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering, or administrative work.
- A bachelor's degree from a college or university and/or a master's degree from a college or university in health services, social work, psychology, public administration, health care or social services administration is preferred and can substitute for one year of the required experience.
