- Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis
- Ensure the team maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation/progress
- Attend any meetings called by the Senior Management Team and will develop therapies (and make any changes to the therapy provision) according to the agreed local occupational therapy strategy at the hospital which will change over time
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff
- Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team
- Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient’s rehabilitation
- Occupational Therapy professional qualification
- HCPC registration
- Clinical supervision training
- Post graduate training in sensory integration
- Experience in a inpatient setting
- Knowledge and experience with Eating Disorders
- Ability to contribute to the leadership and development of the therapy service to ensure that it meets the needs of the patients admitted to the Unit
- Experience of delivering group interventions
- A high attention to detail regarding work and patient records
- Ability to articipate in quality improvement activities and clinical audits when required
- Knowledgeable, dedicated and vastly experienced Permanent Team with longstanding professional relationships with multiple clients
