- Contribute positively to the overall results of SCOR Specialty Insurance by demonstrably sound technical and profitable underwriting
- At the beginning, provide reliable, accurate and efficient support to the Underwriting team
- Provide quality customer service to all key brokers and clients
- Manage the existing portfolio (renewals, endorsements, risk and client visits, client meetings, claims involvement).
- Develop SCOR's market share and leadership position
- Enhance SCOR's image in the market by efficient and innovative support of client needs
- Negotiate bespoke PCR specific wordings
- Represent SCOR at international events, both general industry conferences and client hosted annual conferences
- Use the various company computer systems
- You will receive, analyse, select and evaluate offers of business from various sources, calculate ratings,
- You will negotiate the conditions and exclusions of the contracts - in a collaborative approach with colleagues.
- Established professional with at least 4 years market-facing experience in international finance (bank, insurance company, fund…)
- Proven underwriting skills including policy wording negotiation
- Technical knowledge of subjects associated to underwriting as well as a wider understanding of related legal, risk management, social and economic topics - at least one or two of them
- Experience in international business
- Commercial and tactical vision
- Able to quickly acquire a thorough understanding of SCOR's underwriting policy and guidelines
- Able to adapt well to SCOR structure and philosophy, which includes technical underwriting and technical referrals
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Team player as well as capable of working on own initiative
- Proactive
- Curious, keen, and fast learner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Established market relationships would be appreciated
- Graduate from a Master of Finance, Insurance, Law, International Relations, or any other equivalent and relevant degree.
