Client Location: Bridgwater HouseSalary: £38.00 per hourJob Description:Somerset Council is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Bridgwater House. As an Occupational Therapist (Adults), you will play a crucial role in our neighbourhood community teams, focusing on providing Occupational Therapy (OT) assessments in the community setting.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments for adults in the community.
Provide recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs).
Complete complex moving and handling assessments.
Conduct housing options assessments to support clients independence and wellbeing.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventions.
Stay updated on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in Occupational Therapy.
Requirements:Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience in conducting OT assessments in the community setting.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines pertaining to social care and health.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
