This operational entity of ENGIE has the ambition to be a key enabler of the transition towards carbon-neutral economy!For EMS ( ) with official location in Linkebeek, we are currently looking for An Electrical Engineer to join our EMS ELEC engineering team.
  • You get the chance to build up knowhow, develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies in the field of maintenance on high voltage and electrical protection equipment (e.g. transformers, cables, switchgear, substations, protections, excitation systems, …).
  • It is your goal to become an expert in the field in order to support both ENGIE and non-ENGIE sites.
  • In order to become an expert you will:
  • ensure the day by day technical support of the different electrical maintenance teams within EMS.
  • initiate and realize improvement and replacement projects on electrical equipment.
  • conduct Root-Cause Analyses and define corrective and preventive actions in the case of incidents or non-conformities observed during outages.
  • play a key role in the preparation, execution and consolidation of overhauls on electrical equipment.
  • define the scope, be in charge of contracting work packages, do technical follow-up and reporting.
  • You further develop and consolidate your knowhow by driving internal return of experience processes and through participation to internal and external network events.
  • You work as a team and in collaboration with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • You hold a Master Degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering in Electricity/Power systems/Energy/Mathematics or Physics.
  • You have proven interest in energy, electrical engineering or (power)electronics and want to further develop your knowledge in this field in order to become a reference in this domain.
  • You have a professional knowledge of English and either French or Dutch. German is a plus.
  • You hold strong analytical skills and are able to make incident analysis in order to solve problems.
  • You’re a true team player who works together towards common goals.
  • You are a good communicator and are able to collaborate with various types of people: both technicians and engineers.

  • A permanent contract (38h.) with a competitive salary package consisting of:
  • A monthly salary according to your technical knowledge and experience. Annual salary increase in January according to scales of the energy sector.
