- Maintain DR plans for Dow enterprise critical applications and systems ensuring recovery procedures for business critical applications in a 7x24 global delivery model.
- Conduct DR exercises to ensure readiness in the event of an actual declaration. Identify gaps found during testing between recovery objectives and recovery capabilities. Assist with the development of remediation plans to address findings.
- Provide guidance and act as subject matter expert as it pertains to DR which also includes Cyber Recovery
- Coordinate and execute approved adjustments and changes that increase performance and availability of applications, based on Business Impact Analysis (BIA) requirements.
- Contract and vendor management: Work with assigned vendor resources in the areas pertaining to DR.
- Review of SaaS solution vendors Resiliency and SLA to ensure meet Dow’s requirements and expectations as a vendor/supplier.
- Assess and report technical risk in the areas pertaining to DR. Assist with evaluation of new technology and tools and work with technical teams to build business cases for their use.
- Participate in cross functional reviews and identify high risk areas pertaining to DR scope.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards including Change Management and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Practice Owner within Dow for IT Services Resiliency practice as part of our Services Management in alignment with ITIL.
- Research and recommend possible automated approaches for DR tasks.
- Facilitate DR vulnerability studies and impact assessments. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead deep dives on key initiatives through program and project reviews.
- Conduct Business Continuity exercises to ensure readiness in the event of an actual business disruption. Identify gaps found during exercises between recovery objectives and recovery capabilities. Assist with the development of remediation plans to address findings.
- Provide guidance and act as subject matter expert as it pertains to Resiliency alternatives and vital records for the business functions.
- Coordinate and execute approved adjustments and changes that increase performance and availability of business processes, based on BIA requirements.
- Research and recommend possible automated approaches for Business Resiliency planning tasks.
- Business Impact Analysis – SME and facilitator with the business to understand impact of loss of critical work processes and applications to guide businesses and functions on business continuity plan, IT disaster recovery plan, and crisis communications.
- Facilitate BIAs. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead deep dives on key initiatives through program and plan reviews.
- Work closely with ES&S and Crisis Management team members to continually mature and improve the response to disruptive events.
- Identify and communicate any gaps between Enterprise Resiliency requirements and capabilities.
- Bachelor degree
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor degree in IT discipline preferred
- Experience leading for Cyber Recovery Planning, Readiness and exercises
- Experience leading the team of contractor resources aligned to DR and Business Continuity tasking.
- Experience working closely with Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Platform teams to design, establish, and manage the set of DR Service Offerings for Dow both on-premise and in Azure Cloud
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
