- Setup and fitout chemical lab.
- Conduct research into coatings with biopolymers.
- Conduct research into the production processes for coatings and biopolymer production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test new mycelium-based packaging prototypes.
- Optimize production processes for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze data, track experiments, and maintain detailed records of research.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in coating and bioplastic technologies to inform our research and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar with 5+ years experience in a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes ideally in industrial processes, (bio) plastics and biology.
- Experience with chemical laboratory techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate scientific findings effectively.
- A passion for sustainability and an understanding of the environmental impact of traditional packaging materials.
