Role purpose:This role will be responsible for strategy and product management of the Device as a Service portfolio within SCC EMEA. This portfolio includes all advisory, professional and managed services related to various types of end user devices (including physical, virtual and mobile).The role has a strong commercial alignment to the business P&L, driving growth with an eye to both top line revenue and bottom-line profit, working with the EMEA Digital Workplace MD to set and execute on DVaaS strategy as part of a wider SCC's Digital Workplace strategy. The role also requires a close working relationship with the relevant technical leadership and principal architects on tools and client experiences created to fulfil the SCC proposition and service offerings; whilst working alongside the relevant vendors (ie Microsoft, HP, Lenovo, Dell) and market analysts on the direction of our portfolio.Security Clearance (or the willingness to do so) is required for this role.Key responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (sales, pre-sales, support, product management) and create a community of champions across UK and France
  • Define product vision, strategy, business case, roadmap and growth opportunities, including a connected customer and sales journey from advisory to professional and managed services.
  • Leveraging a Product Development Process to bring new services to life and driving through to commercial success.
  • Maintaining and publishing of a portfolio roadmap with clear prioritisation criteria.
  • Creation of appropriate content, artefacts and assets required to support sales, delivery and in life management of sold services.
  • Support sales in large opportunities relevant to portfolio
  • Education and knowledge share of services and processes into execution functions of the business such as pre-sales or sales.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales management to develop go-to-market programmes, campaigns and activities
  • Identify training needs for sales, presales, BAU and customer support teams on new products and go-to-market initiatives
  • Commercial tracking of product lines and forecasts.
  • Contribution to broader business strategy underpinning the P&L forecast
Skills and experience:
  • Experience in launching profitable global or EMEA DVaaS managed services offerings in a per user per month, or per device per month pricing model, from ideation to cash.
  • In depth knowledge of end-to-end device lifecycle (supply, config, delivery, maintenance, recovery, disposal)
  • In depth knowledge of managed endpoint services
  • Exceptional experience in proactive and predictive managed services offerings, leveraging automation in the processes, self-heal and self-help, virtual assistant, smart lockers and vending machines, with user, device and sustainability at the centre.
  • Knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure and mobile device management
  • Knowledge of productivity software and end-user applications, identity, digital employee experience and endpoint management services
  • MSP and market knowledge, understanding the role and value that a managed service provider brings to an end client organisation.
  • Experience in strategic vendor management
