- Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, conduct system performance checks, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique and/or Method in which they are certified.
- Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
- Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual specifications that control the Method used at their Site.
- Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
- Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel in the technique and/or method in which they are certified.
- High School Diploma
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to stand and walk throughout work, as well as carry and lift up to 35 pounds
- *This position requires an Occupational Health vision exam
- 1+ years of Aircraft experience
- NDT Level II Training - 32 hours of formal training (16 in magnetic particle and 16 in dye penetrant)
- Ability to become proficient with the principles and practices of the applicable test methods and techniques.
- Experience with magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing
