We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 66,532.20 for a fulltime position.   • Completed doctorate/PhD in the area of Linguistics
  • Expertise and experience with experimental or corpus-based linguistic methodology
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Good written and spoken German language skills
  • Very good working proficiency in at least two languages from two different European language families. Knowledge of further (non-)European languages is desirable
  • Very good IT skills
  • High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work as well as passion for working with students
  • Experience in (online) teaching (desirable)
  • Independent and goal-oriented working style
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams

  • Autonomous and cooperative research in the field of comparative European linguistics, especially in the areas of morphology, syntax and/or semantics with experimental or corpus-based methodology and with a focus on languages from at least two different European language families
  • Participation in existing research projects and development of new research projects in the field of morphology, syntax and/or semantics as part of the research group led by Prof. Dr. Gianina Iordăchioaia
  • Possibility to work on a habilitation project
  • Participation in the application process for third-party funded projects
  • Independent teaching of courses and conducting of examinations in German language
  • Professional supervision of students at the Department of Linguistics
  • Participation in organisational and administrative tasks, evaluation procedures as well as in the public relations activities of the Department of Linguistics
