Job Description:is seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Project Manager (Civil) to join our Mountain Region in the city of Phoenix and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.OverviewEngage directly as an Owner's Representative with local municipalities to perform Project and/or Construction Management duties on Civil Infrastructure projects.Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Owner's Representative for local municipalities, overseeing construction administration and inspection teams for civil Infrastructure projects
  • Oversee roadway, pedestrian, underground utility, and civil site construction and responsible for project inspections to confirm compliance with contract documents, project plans, and specifications
  • Coordinate with all project stakeholders including utility companies, municipal engineers, and project teams
  • Ensure public works projects follow entire QA/QC processes including reviewing Quality Control reports submitted by the Contractor and comparing them to Quality Assurance test results
  • Verify quantities of completed work for payment items including conducting field measurements, reviewing, and verifying quantity measurements, and recommending progress payments to Contractors
  • Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and track extra work and force accounts
  • Perform investigation and interpret construction contract documents to help resolve project issues
  • Implements and maintains effective systems of communication within and outside the project to ensure constructive relationships and the adequate flow of information
  • Maintains high-quality standards, understands key process issues, and ensures implementation of process improvements for all work on the project
  • Participates in preparation and negotiation of owner contracts and ensures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements and that all aspects of owner contracts are accomplished
Requirements:Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred
  • 10 or more years of project management experience in Civil Infrastructure such as roadways or utility projects is required
Knowledge and Skills
  • Good working knowledge of municipal construction contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements is required
  • Knowledge of architecture, civil engineering, and construction management principles is required
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft project management software is required
  • Working knowledge of Procore construction management software is preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with the project team is required
  • Professional accreditations such as Professional Engineer (PE) registration are desirable but not required
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office and or outdoor construction environment. Conditions regularly include exposure to outdoor elements.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, occasionally climb, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
