Do you hold a sports coaching qualification and aspire to get into teaching?Justteachers teaching agency is working with a partner Secondary School in Grantham to appoint a highly motivated Sports Coach immediately.The role will be 35 hours per week, term time only. There will be an opportunity to go onto a permanent contract after a qualifying period of three months.This is a highly supportive school and could be a good opportunity for any graduates who are aspiring Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants or Teachers.Key Responsibilities
  • To provide coaching/instruction as appropriate to pupils and preparation of lesson plans and risk assessments
  • Carry out any reasonable instruction as requested by lead teachers
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to cover non-specialist subjects as required, such as Maths, Science, English, Humanities, (You will not be required to plan these lessons, just manage behaviour and facilitate the students learning).
You will have
  • Coaching Awards (Level 1) in various disciplines
  • HNC in Sports Coaching, Leisure management, sports studies or related subject
  • Two references, one of which will be from working with young people
