- Coordinate and maintain a close relationship with the officials of State Renewable Energy Development Agency (SREDA), State Power Department, Health Department and other state energy regulatory bodies etc.
- Obtain necessary information, facts and figures from the state departments which may be required for analysis of energy consumption trends, demand and supply gap
- Manage the program team at the state/ district level, and other external consultants to carry out programmatic and administrative tasks.
- Support in stakeholder consultations, with private players on concessional financing for DRE’s
- Provide technical support and guidance on the design, development, and implementation of DRE; including solar PV systems.
- Leverage contacts within the SREDA office to ensure that government buy-in for the program remains consistent.
- Plan, organize, manage, coordinate, implement and monitor the programme strategies and activities including research designs, formats for data collection, monitoring, databases, and dashboards as required.
- Prepare programme performance reports and regularly update to Swaniti-HQ about the state activities and progress of project implementation
- Prepare a detailed MEL sheet to track the indicators for success and report back to the management
- Coordinate with the state teams to present information on adoption of the DRE based schemes
- Study the existing energy tariff trends in the states and develop comparison tariff/costs trends of solar energy
- Help in preparing of the state tenders and provide technical inputs for participation of the private companies
- Regularly visit to project sites for reviewing progress of the work and identify any faults/defects in power generation
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals, project specifications, and feasibility studies for DRE initiatives
- Any other activities assigned by HQ
- Masters in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or related field with special emphasis on DRE based solutions
- Minimum 5+ years of experience of running technical units with state energy departments, or managing operations / consulting assignments in relevant environmental programmes etc
- Proven track record of managing a state program team, spread across multiple locations
- Proven track record of designing and implementing governance projects, including capacity building activities, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement
