  • Ability to use an iPad and bespoke company operational apps.

  • Experience of dealing directly with customers and on-site management teams
  • A hands-on, can-do, and flexible approach to your work is an essential requirement.
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience within the industry, minimum 3 years.
  • Experience across multi-site retail environments.
  • Carried out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
  • Installation experience preferred but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of control systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) operations, user level only.
  • You will hold essential recognized commercial gas qualifications as a minimum
Job Duties:
  • To respond promptly and positively to service call/alarm requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary and update in respect to call and job status.
  • To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  • To order spares to the laid-down procedures.
  • To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings.
  • Where plant and equipment are non-repairable, to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
  • To be proficient in the use of written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures and provide accurate documentation. e.g., timesheets, signing in and out and overtime.
  • To advise the GSM and Line Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
  • To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the needs of the business.
  • To assist Engineers in other areas when requested to do so by Line Manager.
  • To ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and repairs are always available and serviceable.
  • To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments
  • To comply with the company Health and Safety Policy always
  • To work with company and Asda colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained
  • To comply with any reasonable request or instruction from the line Manager and Senior Technician
  • To ensure all systems are working to optimum efficiency
  • To work to comply with company KPIs
  • To maintain and Update the Asset database.
  • To advise and co-ordinate Sub-Contractor's on site
