- Overall Accountabilities:
- Manage a team of analysts effective in identifying patterns, trends, and correlations that can provide valuable insights into customer needs, behaviors, and preferences
- Define customer segmentation to bolster Questrade’s ability to tailor marketing campaigns, product offerings, and customer experiences to specific customer segments
- Leveraging data and analytics to optimize marketing campaigns, measure marketing effectiveness, and provide insights to improve marketing strategies.
- Create and manage key marketing reports and dashboards
- Accountable for a team who will track and analyze web analytics and funnel conversion data to gain insights into customer behaviours, website performance, and campaign effectiveness
- Lead the centre of excellence for advanced machine learning capabilities enterprise-wide, continually driving innovation and win-win value creation at scale
- Key contributor, along with other stakeholders, to provide input to QFG data management practices and analytics toolset environment
- Be an analytics advocate, foster collaboration with other analytics functions, drive data-driven decision making
- Management and Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop data science leaders and analysts
- Manage and evaluate performance through regular communication, feedback and semi-annual reviews
- Address any performance or behavioural concerns as needed
- Responsible for all hiring and any terminations as required
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in a related field, with a minimum of 5 years at a senior level.
- Financial services, preferably investments, industry experience
- A keen interest and Knowledge of the markets
- At least 5 years of managing a team of direct reports
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team of data science professionals.
- Excellent analytical skills - ability to re-orientate plans quickly given new information, and confidently make decisions
- Excellent communication, analytical skills, and ability to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts
- Master’s degree/diploma in STEM related field
- Innovative thinker with broad industry knowledge
- Familiarity with SAS, Julia and Python
- Data management concepts, ERD fluency
