Accountant with database knowledge

• Owning and performing payments and corresponding reporting. Ensuring improvement of processes and controls in this area.
• Collaborate with Product teams to propose improvements to the payment process.
• Support month-end close tasks and ad-hoc needs of the business, such as annual audits.
• Owning process documentation and developing robust, concise documentation for all areas of focus.
• Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities, as well as internal controls, to drive positive change across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting / auditing:
• Experience with data analysis and SQL
• Ability to assess business processes and implement improvements and controls
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting exceptional attention to detail and continuously driving process improvements.

• Public accounting experience with Big Four accounting firms (Deloitte, PWC, EY, KPMG) or second-tier national firm
• Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, SAP, or other ERP) preferred
• Working knowledge of internal controls is a plus
