The role in more details: Develop strategic plans for the implementation of BI tools within the finance function of client companies across diverse industries, with a focus on optimizing financial performance and decision-making processes. Lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts and developers, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful implementation of BI solutions tailored to the finance domain. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects within established timelines and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives and financial goals. Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for BI solutions, including financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, to drive actionable insights and improve financial performance. Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization, leveraging BI tools and advanced analytics techniques to support informed decision-making. Evaluate and recommend BI tools and technologies best suited to meet the specific needs of finance departments, considering factors such as data integration capabilities, scalability, and ease of use. Lead the customization and configuration of BI tools to accommodate the unique reporting and analysis requirements of finance functions, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and relevance. Provide training and ongoing support to finance teams on the use and interpretation of BI tools and financial analytics, empowering them to leverage data-driven insights in their day-to-day operations and strategic planning. Cultivate strong relationships with finance leaders and executives at client organizations, serving as a trusted advisor on BI strategy, technology solutions, and best practices to drive financial excellence and competitiveness. To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills) : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management consulting, or business intelligence, with a focus on finance. Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance metrics. Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or IBM Cognos, with experience in data visualization, dashboard development, and report design. Solid grasp of SQL and database management systems, with the ability to query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizational levels. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
