Job descriptionHistory teacher – Oldham – April 2024A dedicated and passionate History Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Oldham, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 from April 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full time basis.This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Oldham teachers.You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. This school teaches AQA at GCSE and has a key focus on an investigative approach that compliments their well research pedagogy. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.The opportunity is to work at a school that has ‘Good’ behaviour and attitudes, which means students behave well in lesson and around the school site. Teachers’ expectations of pupils’ behaviour and achievements are high.
