If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 15 month secondment with the GI Nurse Specialist team. The successful applicant will work as part of the team supporting the IBD, Liver and Nutrition workstreams. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have a flexible approach to support the patients and families within the service. In return you will receive training and support to develop your knowledge and skills.The successful candidate will utilise specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment. They will provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with the patient / carer. As well as teams within RHCYP, the role provides specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives in South East Scotland.You will be expected to work with the multidisciplinary GI team to support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.For more information about the role and service, please contact Katherine Armstrong (katherine.armstrong@nhs.scot) or Catherine Paxton (catherine.paxton3@nhs.scot).This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record.
