Location: SheffieldWe are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanic with a strong mechanical background to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in disassembling and reassembling vehicles, ensuring the highest standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities of an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
·Vehicle Disassembly: Efficiently and accurately disassemble vehicles, including removing panels, components, and mechanical parts.
·Mechanical Aptitude: Apply mechanical skills to diagnose and address issues related to the vehicle's structure and components.
·Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to identify hidden damages and ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards.
·Parts Management: Manage and organize parts during the disassembly process, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
·Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed, including any additional repairs required.
·Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including painters, technicians, and estimators, to ensure seamless workflow and timely project completion.
·Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to create a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.Skills and Qualifications of an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
·Proven Experience: Experience as a Bodyshop Strip Fitter, with a background in mechanical repairs.
·Certifications: Relevant certifications in auto body repair and mechanical repairs are preferred.
·Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure precise disassembly and assembly of vehicles.
·Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of the team.
·Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at identifying and addressing mechanical issues during the disassembly process.
