Wind Project Engineer, Energy Advisory

- Execute and give support to the local team for wind energy productions analysis at pre-construction stage and provide seniority to the team. The technical work support includes:
- Mast, Remote Sensing Device, production data analysis;
- Long-term correction of the data;
- Farm layout optimization and modelling;
- Energy yield calculations;
- Loss and uncertainty calculations;
- Site classification according to IEC 61400-1;
- Site inspections;
- Report writing in English language;
- Any other duty related to energy production analysis such as 3rd party reviews, recalculations, etc.
- Follow wind measurement campaigns, including:
- Advise customers on the measurement strategy at their project site;
- Monitor measurement campaigns;
- Measurement campaign on-site verification - as needed;
- Manage Energy Advisory projects, including:
- Ensuring the project profitability meets expected targets;
- Close follow-up with customers along the project;
- Checking on customer's satisfaction and channel internally improvement areas;
- Support selling opportunities by leveraging industry relationships and provide technical expertise and advice during the sales process.
- Proactively organize and participate in online and face-to-face customer meetings;
- Collaborate with the Sales responsible in France for targeting new prospects;
- Participate in the preparation and negotiation of proposals describing technical and commercial offers as well as timeline;
- Conduct webinars, presentations, technical trainings and workshops for internal and external stakeholders.
- Showcase technical topics within articles, online publication, customer trainings or live events to promote UL Solutions expertise in line with the growth strategy;
- Represent UL Solutions at trade shows and technical conferences.
- Take an active part in providing the best customer experience by:
- Providing best-in class project delivery;
- Respecting project timeline;
- Channeling internally improvement areas;
- At least 6 years of experience as a project manager in renewable energy, ideally in energy yield assessments or any other wind related technical field.
- At least Bachelors-level education and core competence in a relevant field, e.g., fluid mechanics, energy, mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, operations and maintenance, commercial, legal, finance.
- Master in Renewable Energy related aspects would be ideal.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environmental and successfully manage multiple complicated projects.
- Strong management skills with dynamic and engaging mindset.
- Fluent French and proficiency in English (verbal and written).
- Other languages (German or Spanish) would be a plus.
