Contract Type: PermanentOur client is seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation, servicing, and decommissioning of audio-visual systems, in addition to managing cabling and wireless network solutions for both educational and business environments.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Installation, Servicing, and Decommissioning of Audio Visual Systems:
- Set up, maintain, and remove AV systems in educational and business settings.
- Install and test both copper and fiber cabling solutions.
- Use FLUKE testers for cable testing and termination.
- Identify and resolve any cable errors or issues.
- Install and commission wireless network solutions.
- Handle server rack installation, decanting, relocation, and decommissioning.
- IP Security and Surveillance Network Solutions:
- Install and commission IP-based CCTV systems.
- Complete daily written processes, including site audit or survey documents, timesheets, and expenses, on time.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both in a team and individually.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- CSCS Card essential
- Health and Safety qualifications or awareness.
- Cabling qualifications (Training provided).
- IPAF/PASMA certification (Training provided).
- Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, and Manual Handling certification (Training provided).
- A full driving license
