Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2024 StartLocation: England, Greater London, IslingtonJob Type: Contract, Full-TimeSalary: £85 - £100 Per dayAre you about to finish university and considering a career in education?Are you not quite sure where to start?Protocol Education are here to help you take the first steps in your career in education.We work with a range of mainstream Primary Schools in Islington who are currently looking for their next cohort of passionate graduates to join them in September 2024.Experience is not essential for this role. We are looking for graduates with a real passion for making a difference every day to the lives of young children.These roles will involve working with children with SEND including ASD, ADHD and MLD.If you are thinking about a career in education and live locally to Islington, this is the perfect way to get a real understanding of the day to day life of a school.For the best graduates, this could lead to permanent roles at the school or potentially teacher training oppurtunities.Job Duties:
  • Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
  • Preparing and organising educational materials
  • Assessing student performance and providing feedback
Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in Education or relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and helping them achieve academic success
Education:A Bachelor's degree in Education preferred but other degrees also consideredWorking Conditions:
  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities
  • May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials
  • Working in schools local to Islington
