- Responsible for performing complex and advanced troubleshooting on specific equipment and equipment families in relation to Wärtsilä systems.
- Acts as a Senior Engineer for complex marine installations and as a system specialist to lead product related commissioning activities as required.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on site to isolate and find root causes of failures in propulsion electrical and hydraulic equipment.
- Lead and manage assigned self/team while on site, interacting with the customer to arrange for proper schedule to achieve desired scope.
- Keep track of work details and provide in depth reports including all the necessary details. (Measurements, photos, way of working, investigations, etc.).
- Keep track and provide an accounting of time, spare parts used.
- Proactively advise and promote available products and solutions to customers.
- Provide internal and external work reports according to Wärtsilä standards and perform site audits.

- In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.
- Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
- Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
- Creating the Service Work Reports.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
- Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
- Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.

- Preferred MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering
- Experience in many aspects of marine propulsion systems
- Good time management and organizational skills - able to effectively manage a dynamic workload.

- Experience in low voltage automation, including PLC, Micro Processor, and Analog systems.
