A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Ecologist with a passion for mentoring, coaching and quality control, to become part of an incredible team.About the role:We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join a rapidly growing, thriving consultancy that really prides itself on putting employees first - showcasing its commitment to employee well-being through both its strong team-focused culture, and incredible benefits packages.They have an excellent team of Ecologists throughout the country, and are now looking to bring someone into a more specialised role to take ownership over a number of technical outputs, as well as guiding and mentoring the next generation of Ecologists.You'll have the freedom to revise and improve upon the consultancy's reporting services, and be responsible for quality controlling the work of junior members of the team. You'll use your coaching mindset and deep knowledge of UK habitats and species best practice standards / legislative drivers to help your team develop the skills they need in delivering robust, professional reports.This is a WFH position (with travel to sites as required) suitable for the right candidate anywhere in England or Wales - or hybrid if preferred/in the North East.About the benefits:You'll enjoy a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus some incredible perks that actually matter, including:

**some benefits apply after 1 year of serviceAbout you:Interested? We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 5+ years UK Ecology experience with a broad range of habitat and protected species experience
  • CIEEM or RSB membership, FISC Level 4 (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of BNG and confidence using UK Habs
  • Ability to produce BNG assessments and on site / off site management plans, and author EPS licencing, HRA and ES chapters
  • Experience coaching and mentoring staff
  • Class 2 Bat License preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, organised and skilled at prioritising time, confidence to challenge the status quo & ability to get stuck in to challenging projects!
