In a caring environment, the Centre provides a wide range of industry-specific skill training and support services for people with disabilities aged 15 or above to enhance their employability and support their integration into the society.Major Duties:(a) To conduct classes and practical training for students with special educational needs (SEN);
(b) To organise extra-curricular activities for students with SEN and undertake teaching related administrative duties including preparation of training materials, student assessment and maintain training-related records;
(c) To monitor the operation of relevant training workshops including routine repair and maintenance of equipment / facilities, making / producing special tools and equipment for training, and maintaining inventories records;
(d) To assist in preparing estimates of equipment and consumable materials;
(e) To assist in developing curriculum, new projects, services and programmes; and
(f) To assist in outreach training.Requirements:(a) A recognised degree or a professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b) Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese;
(c) A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure;
(d) Preferably with some relevant teaching and / or field experience in conducting vocational skills training and / or developing new training programmes for students with SEN; leading discipline projects and student services, and / or experience in academic programme administration; and
(e)Knowledge and experience in working with students with SEN will be an advantage.Notes:(1) The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.
(2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English and Chinese.
(4) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside centres.
