- Manage and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of TruckForce commercial tyre service operations in the territory served by the TruckForce Hub, associated stocking locations and van operations.
- Ensure the people, infrastructure and processes required to drive continuous improvement in the service to customers, maximise profitability, deliver sound controls and ensure a strong commercial focus to the business are in place.
- Provide the highest quality of customer service and support to deliver the Commercial strategy and all customers.
- Target and win additional Regional and local truck Fleet business to grow the Hub's profitability, inspiring an entrepreneurial spirit within the Hub team.
- Ensure that all Truck and TruckForce Fleets and accounts in the territory are properly managed, accurately and efficiently billed on an ongoing basis.
- Day to day supervision as required of all Hub associates in order to deliver first in service standards.
- Support the ongoing process to improve profitability of all existing major national and regional fleet accounts through a combination of price increases, proactive contract management and cost reduction.
- Manage stock control to ensure sufficient stocking levels and forecasting to ensure production signal are given to reflect demand. Accountable for stock audit program including part worn stock holding.
- Ensure that the Hub is meeting / exceeding its sales, cost and profitability goals
- Ensure that all costs and expenses are managed and within budgetary constraints.
- Work with the Credit Department to minimise past dues.
- Ensure that the operational, financial and administrative controls are relevant, appropriate and sound, and diligently adhered to.
- Continue to develop a strong successful TruckForce team in the territory.
- Ensure that all team members are appropriately trained and developed and that succession plans are in place for Branch Manager and other key roles.
- Operate within regular HR guidelines and policies.
- To establish an industry leading Safety Culture through leading by example, supporting the team, being accountable and holding the team accountable to develop and implement safe working practices.
- Responsible for reporting and investigating any incidents working with company health and safety management team to identify/address any changes to ensure associates work safely and comply with company policy.
- 0 Level/GCSE or equivalent standard mathematics and English language (Desired).
- Tyre fitting qualifications are desired.
- Tyre Industry related experience is crucial.
- Experience of managing teams circa 10+.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Commercial acumen and tyre associated tyre knowledge is essential.
- Strong IT skills including the usage of Excel and the familiarity with SAP/Hyperion or ERP system.
- Able to be flexible, seek responsibility and work without supervision.
- Strong communicator, proven problem-solving skills and have a creative thinking ability.
