Create and review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Routinely test websites for ease of use, speed, and other quality factors. Monitor debugging process results, including thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions. Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software test plans and processes, including automating any manual testing where possible. Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by supervisor or business. Requirements Build Your Digital Skillset to Thrive in the Industry: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing. Experience with testing automation tools and scripting for repeatability. 2+ years of hands-on experience in AJAX and JavaScript programming and testing. 2+ years of hands-on experience in HTML, including HTML 5 and CSS. 2+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server 2012 of SQL and scripting. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with the ASP.Net framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns, and React websites (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC), Repository/Service). Knowledge of SQL Database and changing values or test environment settings. Strong interpersonal skills for effective leadership and collaboration across departments. Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle. Ability to work effectively in a small team environment or independently. Self-starter with excellent problem-solving capabilities. Excellent organization, planning, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong conflict management and resolution skills. Ability to multitask efficiently (may be assigned multiple projects simultaneously). High degree of flexibility. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Freshdesk, and other tracking and testing tools. Understanding of libraries such as DevExpress Controls, jqWidgets Controls, Twitter Bootstrap, React JS, and TypeScript. Experience in an Agile development environment. Experience with performance and/or security testing is advantageous. Physical Requirements: Infrequent travel. Ability to lift 10 pounds. Ability to move about inside the office for meetings and access to office equipment. Ability to remain stationary for long periods at a computer desk and view the monitor(s). Proficiency in operating a keyboard for most of the workday to access systems and email communication. Ability to communicate effectively via phone and video conference.
