- The Systems Engineering Team Lead will be managing the SE activities of the Gateway Program GRAIL Laboratory.
- Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents.
- Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering.
- Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities.
- Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications.
- Perform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process.
- Work with ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end item documentation.
- Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements.
- Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews.
- Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance.
- Participate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware.
- Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses.
- Work and present schedule and progress to customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Must have 5+ years of recent and related experience.
- License and certification may be required.
- Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model-based systems engineering.
- Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection.
- Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork.
- Experience with NASA processes.
- Knowledge and experience with DOORS Next Generation.
- This position is located onsite.
- This position offers a 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off.
- This position may require some travel.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

- May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
- Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
- Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
