PrixCar Services is an automotive logistics company specialising in Vehicle Transport, Vehicle Processing and Storage, Fleet Conversions and Dealer Vehicle Storage.Over the last 35 years we have grown to offer a wide range of specialised services, with more than 25 depots across Australia, we are ideally positioned to provide exceptional vehicle transport services to both individuals and OEM customers.The Position:As a SQL Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our organization's SQL databases. Reporting to the Applications Manager, the DBA will work closely with other members of the IT team to optimize database functions and support application development. The DBA will also play a critical role in writing customer queries, managing reporting databases, and ensuring efficient data retrieval for various business needs.What you will do:

Install, configure, and maintain SQL database systems to ensure optimal performance
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues and tune for optimal efficiency
Implement and maintain database security protocols and access controls
Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery planning
Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation
Tune database configurations and indexes to improve query performance and response times
Manage reporting databases and data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transfer data from operational databases to reporting databases
Create and schedule automated reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar tools
Utilise PowerBI to create insightful and actionable reports for stakeholders

What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and/or certification in SQL Server administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) is preferred
Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator or similar role
Knowledge of SQL Server tools including SSIS and SSRS
Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and stored procedures
Familiarity with performance tuning and optimisation
Understanding of database security best practices and data protection regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
