This includes:Day-to-day supervision of the VFI Accounting team based in ManilaSupervise and prepare production of VisionFund’s monthly financial statements and account reconciliationsSupervise reporting and compliance tasks such as filing of international tax formsSupervise VisionFund’s accounts receivable including annual partnership fee collections and other chargebacksSupport the completion of VisionFund’s internal and external audit.Major responsibilities:Supervise production of financial statements, reviewing for completeness and alignment with contracts, guidelines and/or policies and make adjustments.Establish and maintain monthly accounting process for timely close and accurate delivery of financial statements and analysisReview and approve journal entries for general ledger reportingReview and approve monthly account reconciliationsSupervise production of monthly budget analysis for VFI departmentsSupervise VFI Accounts receivable process for billing, collection and tracking of all intercompany receivables from MFIsSupervise global tax filingsMaintain records and schedules necessary for year-end audit testing and assist in audit preparation and execution.Establish and maintain lease schedules (new lease accounting standards)Supervise the financial year-end closingEnsure that all accounts are reconciled and pending issues are resolvedSupport in providing the necessary schedules and documents for the completion of the external audit.Supervise the VFI accounting team based in Manila in coordination and with guidance from the Finance and Accounting ManagerCoordinate and ensure hiring/recruitment and proper onboarding of new staffCoordinate and ensure learning and development of staffMonitor staff performance and give feedback to ManagerTrain staff on technical skills and identify resources they need to get the work doneOversee the administrative and local requirements of staff reporting to this position, and report issues or concerns to the GFS Business Operations ManagerWork with the managers for overall staff management and local oversightIdentify process for continuous improvement for the team.Other tasks as requested by manager.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accountingHas an extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of finance and accounting, and strong analytical skillsStrong US GAAP or IFRSC knowledge and experience (advantage)Certified Public Accountant (advantage)Able to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization (verbally and in writing)At least 4 years of experience in finance and accounting roleTechnically well versed in accounting process – Full accounting cycleStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated audit experienceExtensive experience working in a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed work environmentExtensive experience in preparing and analyzing accounting and financial reports for internal and external clientsAbility to take ownership and deliver results, to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlinesExcellent multi-tasking and organization aptitudesStrong technical/IT training experienceApplicant Types Accepted: Local Applicants Only
