General Cover TeacherLocation: HullStart Date: April/May 2024Working Hours: School ideally seeking a full time candidate, but will try to accomodate part time if possible.Vision for Education are seeking a general cover teacher to join our successful team and work in one of our client secondary schools in Central Hull from the Easter holidays onward ideally.This particular school in Hull is a high achieving school in Central Hull that are seeking somebody with experience covering several subjects that can help support their cover needs and requirements moving forward. With a passionate and experienced support team to help you in your role, this is an ideal position for somebody that would like to work in a positive and rewarding environment and enjoys applying themselves in different subject areas.About the roleYou will be working in classes of around 25-30 pupils with a wide range of ability levels across KS3 and KS4. The role of a cover teacher within a school is to support learning and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. A general cover teacher can be utilised in all aspects of the school to cover across a multitude of subjects and would be expected to provide good quality teaching and learning in the absence of the regular subject teacher.RequirementsTo be considered for the role of General Cover Teacher you will:
  • Have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate with experience in Secondary Education
  • Have the ability to be adaptable and apply yourself professionally and enthusiastically in multiple subjects if required
  • Have strong passion for working with young people
