The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.Position Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer, you will:Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systemsBuild product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solutionEngage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycleLead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organizationDefine, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspectiveUtilize programming languages like .Net C# or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, and a variety of Azure tools and servicesMentor other engineersConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsQualificationsDemonstrated programming experience in the Duck Creek insurance platformExperience with advanced programming languages including .Net C#, XML/Xpath, SQL and object-oriented designExperience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systemsProven understanding of microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIsAdvanced understanding of monitoring concepts and toolingAdvanced understanding of security protocols and productsExperience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as codeStrong problem-solving abilityAbility to excel in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)Experience4+ years of Software Development in Duck Creek, CBO, Author, and ManuScript4+ years of professional software development experience within the .NET framework (C# including object-oriented design)3+ years of experience with architecture and design3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service2+ years of experience in open-source frameworksEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience#LI-KK2#DiceAnnual Salary $82,000.00 - $185,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
