- Provide full-time support to children with social emotional mental health (SEMH) challenges within a secondary school setting
- Assist with the implementation of behaviour management techniques and interventions to support students' emotional well-being
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive engagement and encourages social interaction
- Offer one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance with academic, social, or emotional skills
- Encourage independence and personal development through differentiated activities and tailored interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children from diverse backgrounds
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional growth of children with SEMH challenges
- Previous experience working in a school setting supporting children with special needs (SEN) would be beneficial, but not necessary.
