WE ARE BUILDING ONE OF EUROPE'S LARGEST BIOCARBON PRODUCTION PLANTS, AT HØNEFOSS!Vow Green Metals AS is building its first biocarbon production plant at Treklyngen Industripark (Follum) located in Hønefoss. With a production capacity of 20.000 tons of biocarbon, the plant will be one of Europe's largest, enabling a abatement potential of 100.000 tons of fossil CO2.
We are now looking for a Site & Maintenance Manager with industrial experience who wants to be part of an exciting journey and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the green shift while building a new green industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the production plant, which will supply volumes of biocarbon at an industrial scale to the metallurgical industry. In addition, the Follum plant will be our competence center for testing and further development of an exciting product portfolio. In other words, there are great development opportunities for the right candidate.
The main product from the production plant is biocarbon, which will replace fossil-reduction materials in metal production. Elkem will be the main customer of the biocarbon produced, and the qualification process is already underway. In addition, the plant will produce bio-oil, which can replace fossil oil in many industries, and bioenergy which be used in surrounding industries and to produce district heating.

- Responsible for day-to- day operation management
- Reports to Managing Director Biocarbon Production Norway
- Manage and oversee production and areas relevant to production such as:
o Quality
o Improvement activities
o Logistics related to feedstock and finished product * Responsible for plant maintenance
- Report KPI's
- Train and onboard new employees
- Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste.
- Analyze data and create reports to present to executives regarding processes
- Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage
- BSc or MSc within technology e.g., mechanical-, electrical/automation engineer or process engineer background. Other relevant education or experience can replace this.
- At least 3-5 years of experience from position within process industry / industrial experience.
- Experience and/or knowledge about productions systems covering ISO 9001 / 14001, continuous improvement, Norwegian legislation regarding HSEQ etc.
- Experience or education within maintenance systems.
- Leadership training and / or experience with leadership is an advantage.
- Written and verbal communication at a good level.
- Norwegian and English language.
