Commissioning EngineerWe are seeking a qualified and highly motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our team. We are searching for an candidate who desires a challenging career filled with creativity and innovation.This position involves heavy travel (50-75%) to commission, test, and verify new automation throughout the U.S.Tasks & Key Responsibilities:
  • Debug various automation systems
  • Engage in configuration and minor programming
  • Test system performance
  • Verification and validation of engineered systems (hardware and/or software) to specifications
  • Design pre-punched enclosures and subpanels utilizing AutoCAD
  • Create and update project workbook, pre-check electrical drawings for accuracy/completeness, UL requirements prior to quoting and material ordering
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in automation, control system design, PLC, and HMI programming
  • Knowledgeable of electrical and controls engineering theories and principles
  • Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, and codes
  • VFD experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider is a plus but not required
  • PLC experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix & CompactLogix), Modicon, and Siemens (S7) is a plus but not required
  • HMI experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Ignition, and WinCC is a plus but not required
  • AutoCAD experience to create electrical drawings and schematics
Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to deal with experienced, multidisciplinary, technical specialists
  • Ability to coordinate small to large projects independently and make quality decisions
  • Skilled in Engineering: Electrical and PLC
  • Skilled with AutoCAD and design of electrical panels, creating electrical drawings and schematics
Travel:Generally, this position requires up to 50-75% travel to various sites.
