We are excited to be recruiting for a Financial Controller to work with us across our leisure contracts. This position can be based 2 days a week form home with a few days spent either in London or Surrey. This position will support the onsite operation teams to maximise company profitability and working capital, to support both commercial finance and on-site teams with financial processes, procedures and projects.The role reports to the Operations Director and the Senior Finance Business Partner. The role will be site based and support the site teams to deliver profitable results and in creating accurate and timely management accounts, client reports and management information. The key to being successful in this role is an eye for detail and ensuring commercial focus as well as ensuring accuracy in information provided and delivering on added value initiatives.
  • Support the operations team to drive performance across the contract portfolio.
  • Work in collaboration and build strong productive working relationships with the Executive Chefs, Head Chefs, General Managers, Duty Managers and Operations Managers.
  • Provide support to the operational management team to enhance understanding and financial awareness.
  • Ensure all overheads are delivered to budget.
  • Manage efficient financial processes, purchasing, payroll & stock.
  • Produce accurate financial reports as required by the business and client.
  • Prepare accurate flash forecasts, providing weekly commentary for each location.
  • Drive improvements to our profitability in key areas – pricing, menu engineering, procurement, labour efficiency.
  • Ensure the Minimum Labour project is in use, analysing labour variances and ensuring management are reacting to variances.
  • Overall responsibility for raising accurate event and client invoices, and ensure debt is paid as per invoice terms.
  • Ensure all accounting entries are processed correctly and accurately.
  • To undertake CH&Co specific training courses relevant to this role.
  • To identify and research training options to ensure that own professional knowledge is developed and to be accountable and responsible for maintaining own competences.
