Experience or no experience, looking for a career in hospitality, new to the workforce or studying at UNI, as long as you have a positive attitude, a big smile and want to work with a great team - this could be the job for you!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment while supporting our culinary team in delivering high-quality dishes to our patrons.You will be responsible for;

Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, including dishes, utensils, and work surfaces
Emptying garbage bins and dispose of waste in a safe and responsible manner
Operating dishwashing equipment efficiently
Maintaining kitchen equipment and report any issues to the Executive Chef
Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Working collaboratively with kitchen staff to meet service requirements
Following instructions and perform other duties as assigned by Senior Kitchen Staff

This is not a cooking position - it's purely washing and cleaning!Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you:

Shifts generally commence at from 3pm and finish around 11pm/12am - so reliable transport is a must! There may be some opportunity for day shifts down for coverage.
Shifts will vary across 7 days of the week so good flexibility is a must!
Attention to detail and a strong passion for maintaining a hygienic environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen setting
Ability to take direction from Senior Kitchen members
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to perform physical work with bending, lifting, pushing and pulling a requirement of this role
Previous experience in a similar role in a similar sized environment is preferred
