- Developing strategies to meet material standards and supporting the selection of appropriate materials and components.
- Working closely with colleagues from internal and external engineering teams.
- Communicating with the purchasing department, suppliers and external companies to verify the composition of ordered components, tests, analyses and their compliance with the given standards.
- Manage documentation regarding compliance with material standards and database management
- Working with the global team, maintaining and updating internal policies related to materials and component compliance in global regulatory standards
- Registration of materials and components in the ECHA SCIP database.
- Resolves and answers technical questions from customers
- Supports qualification testing of alternative materials and components.
- The position holder is responsible for the accuracy of data in technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, other specifications)
- Works closely with the production and quality department to meet customer requirements.
- Participates in the execution of ABS/Kaizen activities set by his/her supervisor.
- Adheres to occupational safety, health and fire prevention policies.
- Maintains order and cleanliness in the workplace.Qualification requirements for the position holder:Formal education: High school or university degree in a technical field preferably with a focus on materials engineering and chemical engineering.
Knowledge of: chemistry and composition of materials and components used in electrical and mechanical systems, knowledge of the use of inspection tools and equipment for materials composition analysis, knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings, knowledge of RoHS, REACH, SVHC, ECHA SCIP registration.Skills: Ability to communicate in AJ both written and verbal; proficiency in PC at an advanced user level - Excel, Word, Outlook, Ability to work with large amounts of data, Group B driver's license; pragmatic not scientific orientation, at the same time exceptional professional theoretical proficiency; Personal pace steady and relatively fast while being highly accurate; ability to self-control; sense of teamwork but also an unusually high degree of independence, excellent communication skills (both written and written).Experience: in combination with a non-engineering high school degree, at least 2 years of experience in a similar position in an engineering manufacturing plant with a similar focusAttitudes: willingness to learn and master new knowledge of material standards, high level of adaptability to constant change with full commitment over a relatively long period of time; resistance to stress, perseverance and high level of focus, very high level of accuracy and attention to detailWhat we offer?
