You will interact and collaborate with various Solera product management and engineering teams across multiple locations. Serves as an engineering mentor and guide in the Solera Fleet Solutions product engineering organization. Provides management expertise in managing and developing a talented engineering team. Helps implement standard development processes, drive implementation of guidelines.What you'll do- Manager a cross-national team of engineers. Support the team and help develop career and development paths for the team- Communicate effectively both within immediate team and leadership. Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy, and results- Support and implement organization’s initiatives- Mentor junior resources and provide guidance ensuring all development standards and practices are adhered to- Pursue continuous improvement in development processes, standards, and quality- Coach, mentor and lead a diverse group of lean/agile software engineers- Work directly with stakeholders to understand business and technical needsWhat you'll bringEDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related fieldEXPERIENCE: 5+ years managing development teamsHands-on experience with Agile (Scrum or XP) and test & behavior driven development, continuous integration, and version controlKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:- Demonstrable experience in developing software applications- Related DevOps tools experience a plus (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Sonar, Jenkins etc)- Experience in managing teams responsible for building scalable and highly available distributed systems- Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments- Experience in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks
