- Play a key role in the delivery of ESG services to our customers, particularly related to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD);
- Actively contribute to our EMEA commercial strategy: work with the commercial team to actively sell Novata Services and meet individual and team sales goals by participating in scoping, proposal development, and sales calls
- Manage client relationships and engagements: serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for a portfolio of EMEA Services clients and lead all client-facing elements of project delivery
- Cross-functional project management and stakeholder engagement: from project scoping and sales to key milestones, final deliverables, and KPIs, work collaboratively and efficiently with people across Novata teams to deliver best-in-class solutions and an unrivaled customer experience
- Contribute to the Novata regulatory roadmap: Develop subject matter expertise on ESG regulations, aiding in product alignment with regulatory rollouts;
- Research and keep abreast of evolving ESG developments including standards, framework developments, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- The ESG Manager’s day-to-day role will be varied and will primarily include:
- Keeping abreast of and serving as an in-house expert on European ESG reporting regulations, with an immediate focus on and specialization in the CSRD;
- Research, develop, and deliver new Services offerings, with an immediate focus on double materiality assessments and other specialized solutions to support our clients in disclosing to the CSRD;
- Data analysis, data strategy, visualisation, action-planning, and reporting;
- Stakeholder engagement and management;
- This is a client facing role. Presentation skills, strong verbal communication, relationship management, and commercial experience are essential in order to:
- Lead prospective customer calls with the Commercial team on behalf of the Services team;
- Support the preparation and development of proposals;
- Advise as an ESG expert on market trends, ESG regulations, and frameworks;
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with our clients and continue to build upon Novata’s reputation for unrivaled customer experience
- Deliver presentations, webinars and workshops to current and prospective clients
- Serving as a knowledge resource for ESG regulations, frameworks, and initiatives the successful candidate must:
- Have a strong understanding of the CSRD and experience in the delivery of double materiality assessments;
- Have a broad understanding of ESG and key sustainability frameworks and principles such as the SASB Standards, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the EU Taxonomy, and/or the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) IFRS S1 and S2 standards, the PRI, and/ or the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
- Be able to develop and deliver thought leadership content including but not limited to articles, blogs, guides, webinars, presentations at industry events, etc.
- Finally, there is the opportunity to support research and input towards thought leadership pieces such as blogs, articles, and marketing materials in addition to attending conferences and relevant networking events.
- At least 4 years of industry experience in a related field e.g. ESG advisory, sustainability consultancy, impact investing, and / or private equity;
- Experience in delivering materiality assessments, including double materiality assessments for the CSRD across a broad range of industries;
- Commercial experience supporting bid processes, proposal-writing, and sales calls;
- Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills;
- Ability to both deliver project work and deliverables as well as review and advise the work of more junior resources for quality and completeness;
- Effective time management and organisational skills;
- Strong communication and presentation skills,
- Proactive with the ability and confidence to use initiative;
