With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges.PATH is currently recruiting a Communications Associate to amplify the impact of Re-Envisioning Excellence and Accessibility in Clinic-based HIV Services (REACH 95) project funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The Communications Associate will play an important role in advancing the visibility of REACH 95, utilizing various media channels, designing outreach materials, and managing our social media presence, including the REACH 95 Facebook account. This position is funded through July 31, 2028. Employment after that date is subject to availability of funds.The overall goal of the five-year REACH 95 project is to accelerate Ukraine’s efforts to achieve HIV epidemic control by 2030 by improving equitable access to high-quality HIV service delivery at public health facilities through optimized case-finding, linkage to prevention and care, and support for decentralized treatment services. The REACH 95 project aims to increase the number of people living with HIV (PLHIV) who know their status, are linked to HIV care, and receive treatment — to achieve the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) 95-95-95 goals for HIV epidemic control in Ukraine.Communications Associate will report to REACH 95 Chief of Party.Responsibilities:•Provide support for advancing the REACH 95 visibility and communications efforts through social media, electronic newsletters, publications, and other identified media channels.•Design, develop, and manage the project newsletter, social media platforms, and the REACH 95 Facebook account, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.•Generate regular content and make regular Facebook posts to engage with the community and enhance project visibility.•Maintain and update the project’s social media platforms, engaging with key audiences and stakeholders.•Draft and edit a variety of information content, including press releases, talking points, public outreach materials, success stories, social media posts, and multimedia content, targeting diverse audiences, and ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in communication.•Support the development and editing of brochures, leaflets, and other outreach tools to effectively publicize project achievements.•Assist team members with developing communication resources for presentations, events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings, ensuring consistency and alignment with project objectives.•Identify and implement creative ways to integrate text and graphics into project presentations and multimedia content to enhance visual appeal and message conveyance.•Ensure adherence to PATH’s and REACH 95’s branding and marketing guidelines in all materials and assist team members in complying with established procedures and processes. Verify that all media messages and activities align with communication policies.•Develop and manage the production of branded promotional items for the project, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines.•Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, responding promptly and accurately to requests for information.•Maintain and organize content inventories, including photo, video, and design assets, ensuring easy accessibility and efficient use.•Actively participate in relevant partner meetings, information events, and project events at both the national and regional levels.•Travel to project sites upon the need.•Perform other communications-related tasks as assigned.Required skills and experience:•Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is required.•A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role. Prior experience working with international NGOs or in public health-related communications is highly preferred.•Proficient in MS Office products, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with graphic design, multimedia and online communications is advantageous.•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands, shifting priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.•Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-focused environment and interact effectively with diverse colleagues and partners globally. Diplomacy in communicating with a broad and diverse audience is necessary.•Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in Ukrainian and English required.•Experience or demonstrated interest in areas such as HIV epidemic control, equitable access to healthcare, service delivery optimization, and support for decentralized treatment services would be highly beneficial.•Familiarity with the healthcare landscape in Ukraine and a commitment to supporting the country's goal of achieving HIV epidemic control by 2030 are valued.•Ability to travel when requested.Location: Kyiv, Ukraine Applicant must have legal authorization to work in the Ukraine.
