- Verifies, records, and reconciles daily gaming revenue, costs, bingo sales, and inventory in CARRS (internal gaming reporting program) for BC sites
- Performs weekly gaming reconciliation, reports coupon redemptions, and communicates with each site to closely monitor coupon costs
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual working papers
- Prepares quarterly found money reconciliation and processes donations
- Records lottery sales, settlement for assigned sites, and prepares reconciliations
- Responds to and resolves inquiries and issues related to gaming revenue
- Analyzes gaming floats/liability on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Monitors accounting processes related to gaming; identifies opportunities for efficiencies
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational teams and gaming regulatory bodies
- Builds strong working relationships with guests, team members, and regulators
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Post-secondary education in accounting or finance, or a suitable combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel skills, including complex formulas
- Computer literacy in MS Office and JDE or other related accounting software an asset
- Ability to be self-directed and take initiative while working independently and remaining focused on an assignment through to delivery
- Ability to exceed internal and external expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
