- Bachelor degree in engineering
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Good understanding in Pro-E, AutoCAD and Solidworks software
Strong project management backgroundCritical Success Factors:
- Good understanding of flat development methods, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, Metrology, and Statistical Process Control fundamentals
- Project Management skills
- Experience in an industrial metal fabrication and assembly environment
- Excellent attendance
- Desire to learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor and participating in production meetings
- Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum direction
- Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leader
- Respect and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship

- Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by Martinrea Industrial Canada
- Manage program to ensure that implementation and related activities are carried out in accordance with customer's specified objectives
- Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing program to include timing, concept, feasibility, design review, tooling/equipment, try-out, prototype, mass production parts, launch and final buy-off
- Co-ordinates programs as per the APQP process and monitor the work associated resources during the project implementation
- Keeps customer informed by updating timelines and/or open issues list
- Continually review project progress and adjust parameters if necessary to steer the project to a successful completion
- Tooling, assembly, manufacturing and production knowledge, aid and recommendation
- Maintains/updating all related costs as per the program budget
- Prepares and updates upper management team with program timing and any major issue that needs to be resolved
- Co-ordinate initial product shipments to ensure product is delivered on time
- Produce bill-of-materials, detail and welding drawings for all different projects
- Produce GD & T drawings where required
- Develop sheet-metal parts Flat Layouts for laser-plasma cutting
- Upon receive of any change request from Customer or Production, elaborate the ECN's (Engineering Change Notification), make them signed for management, distribute and file them
- Create a products bill-of-material-drawing book for production and keep it updated
- Enter the bill of material in MRP software and keep it updated
- Designing jigs, fixtures and templates as required for production
- Anything it takes to complete the required tasks. Example (Dealing with vendors for tooling, product specifications etc.)
- Designing new products and drawings upon customer's sketches
- Process planning- new product
- Release First Article parts / PPAP parts prior to production and chasing them in shop floor
- Perform standardized work studies
- Implement error proofing and capacity planning
- Completion of Job Instruction sheets, set-up instructions and re-work instructions
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
- Must understand the six elements of the Quality System, Record Retention, Document Control, Non-conforming Material, Corrective Action, Preventative Action and internal audits as well as department procedures.

- Both office setting and production environment
- Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
- Ability to work on computer for long periods of time
- Ability to be present on the production floor on a daily basis
- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear personal protective equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
