- Actively caring for the health, safety and general wellbeing of team members.
- Support team members through active monitoring of decisions and actions, and ensuring alignment with the corporate safety strategy, vision and values.
- Collaborate with or share ownership of safety with team members by asking for their active participation in safety decision-making and empowering everyone on the team to take personal responsibility for safety.
- Implement safety protocols, guidelines, and training programs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and taking necessary corrective actions.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
- Share a vision for safety and facilitating the development of team goals, targets, and plans to achieve it.
- Recognize and reward team members based on their demonstration of effective safety behaviour.
- Identify training and development needs of Team Members and facilitate appropriate training programs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance individual and team performance.
- Act as a change agent, effectively managing and implementing changes in processes, procedures, and systems.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging influence to drive positive outcomes and support organizational goals.
- Ensure efficient execution of service repair and maintenance by providing necessary resources, tools, and guidance to HET’s.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements, and share relevant information with team members.
- Collaborate with technical experts and participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
- Organize work, including prioritizing assignments, assigning job tasks, and managing workflow in and out.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers to address concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance internal and external customer experience and satisfaction.
- Regularly review customer feedback and implement necessary improvements to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Position requires a thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of construction/mining equipment.
- Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in an industrial environment is a requirement.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and influence outcomes.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
