Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager

- Working directly with the group manager, project engineers, fluvial geomorphologists, ecologists, less experienced and support staff on projects related to Water Resources
- Responsible for projects including communicating with client, meetings, project management, completing technical analysis and reviews, preparing reports and proposals, conceptual / preliminary and detailed designs of stormwater management infrastructure
- Utilize local knowledge and contacts to grow business and preposition for upcoming work.
- In coordination with the other Water Resources staff, support in the client follow-up and develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Participate in the coordination of the team's participation in key conferences and sponsorship opportunities related to the respective market sector
- Participate in the development, communication and deployment of strategies to advance AECOM’s position in the Water Resources market sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources or Civil Engineering
- 6+ years of water resources experience, with 5+ year of project management experience
- Registered as a P.Eng or eligible within 6-12 months
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of water resources policies and practices
- Experience with various water resources modeling programs e.g. HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM/EPA SWMM, VISUAL OTTHYMO, InfoWorks, etc
- Familiarity with ArcGIS
- Experience in proposal preparation including determining work scope, preparing time task breakdowns and preparing text sections on technical approach, team and project experience, etc.
- Interested and capable to take on Project Management duties (schedule and budget control, client contact, proposal writing etc.)
- Ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively and work with others is essential
- Strong competencies with Microsoft office and analytical skills
- Strong organizational, project, client and staff management skills
- 10+ years of water resources experience, with 5+ year of project management experience
- Experience delegating to less experienced staff is an asset
- Design and construction experience related to transportation infrastructure, stormwater and/or erosion and slope stability projects will be considered an asset
- Experience including preparation of cost estimates and tender packages as well as contract administration
- Experience with Fluvial Geomorphology / Natural Channel design would be considered a strong asset
- Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling would be an asset
- PMP Designation
