- Develop a proteomic-based research project integrated in the lab research program
- Implement or develop novel proteomics and systems biology methods in collaboration with other researchers
- Analyze mass spectrometry data and help optimize the computational platforms
- Diligently document and record results of analyses and investigations
- Work independently, and collaboratively with other researchers and technicians to perform a wide range of specialized and routine laboratory techniques in proteomics
- Contribute to the establishment of new screening methods by overseeing the experimental designs of other researchers and technicians in the research lab
- Coordinate general operation of the research lab
- Help optimize the performance of existing methods and instrument in the research lab
- Help operate and maintain basic laboratory instrumentation, liquid handler, HPLC and LC-MS/MS instruments
- Read and keep up with scientific literature relevant to proteomics research
- Train and/or supervise scientists in the affiliated labs on the proteomics platform and molecular and synthetic biology methods
- Write and/or participate to the writing of scientific articles and research grants
